I do enjoy the addon!! It looks great.

The autopilot sends the HTV on an earth escape trajectory though.

I couldn't find any specifics on the H2B launch, only the H2A and it was a geosyncronous launch with the 2nd stage firing twice. You have to judge the 2nd stage shut down manually.

Understood! Maybe someone experienced with tweaking launch profiles can improve it. It would require data about the performance of the H2B and the masses of the stages and the HTV etc. to be available.

I've tried it out a couple of times, and it seems like there is no autopilot 2nd stage cutoff right? (pro|retrograde) autopilots on the 2nd stage seem to end up with lots of angular velocity. If I jett the HTV, and use scenario editor to kill the angular velocity, then try the HTV engines, the blue arc appears, but the deltaV isn't happening. Very weird.
This is with Shuttle fleet, ISS fleet , Herschel, Planck, etc,etc,etc, also enabled so
no telling what's actually wrong yet. I'll have to try on a bare installation, but no time for that tonight.

OK I haven't gotten the latest expansion pack with landing scenarios yet.
It could be anything, except operator error. :lol:

i also found after jetteson of the last stage there is no output from the engine on the HTV, I managed to get to a stable orbit and docking with the station using the RCS though. Everything seems to work well apart from that.

There is no main engine on the HTV, it uses 4 OMS engines at the rear of the vehicle.

yes those. I see the fire from the 4 OMS engines but there is no thrust. Delta V remains the same.
