The duplicated on each desktop icons are because they were added as "ShellFolder" to Desktop in the registry, and the current desktop manager I use (Dexpot) has no control over their placement or visibility.

Here's mine, with the cute little squirrel. A few months ago, it was a northern cardinal, and before, it was a canadian beaver. The canadian flora fits very well with Windows XP blue theme in my opinion.

I try to keep icons off my desktop so it's pretty empty and organized, but here's what I use as my wallpaper:

I removed the canvas texture and signature, cropped the image to 16:9, and sharpened it for personal use.
