Desktop screenies

I wonder what my game of the forever is...

(besides Orbiter, of course)

Hey, tblax, where'd you get that picture for desktop 3, the night landing? That is beautiful.

Here's mine.

1. Something wrong with your colour settings there, I think, or is it just a stylistic thing?
2. Interesting folder name in the middle there... :P

1. I saved the PNG as an 8 bit so it doesn't take up to much space.
2. Its for quick access.

Actually a little different now, no winamp player on the top left, or data thing on the bottom right, and only three folders on the desktop. I just don't feel like re-screencapping this.

64-bit Ubuntu (left face) and 32-bit Ubuntu (right face)

Now if I could get my hands on a legit copy of Windoze I could start playing and developing for Orbiter again. Then again, even though I'll probably get a copy in a year or two, when I can scrape together the cash, Orbiter is just about the only thing for which I'd want Windows right now. (Dang expensive freeware...)

Here's mine. I usually switch it every week or so, though.

EDIT: No, I didn't remove the icons. I just have a very clean desktop and an autohiding taskbar. If you look closely you can see the edge of the taskbar and the icon for Firefox.

For my background, I just 'stole' a pic that Tex put in the Photo Gallery.
Definitely the most epic deep space pic I've ever seen.
My icons form a box around it.

Here is mine without any icons.
You can see the ET just left of the shuttle.
Where is that taken from? Surely the shuttle wouldn't be close enough to the ISS for a photo with the ET still hanging around (first orbit?)

Edit - On closer inspection, I realize that that's a shot form Orbiter. :P Props to the addon authors for what are apparently some pretty photo-realistic textures. Now to find some coffee...

Don't bother with the coffee, I made the same mistake and I've been up for several hours already :)

At the moment, my wallpaper is a slideshow of a good forty or so images.

The one it's on at the moment is particularly relevant:

I don't do desktop icons. ;)

I've also got a few renders of the XR2 MK2 in there, a couple of family photos, the like. Rotates once every half hour and keeps me from getting bored with the desktop. :)
