Docking

Hi Fausto,

Really looking forward to the release!

I've been flying the beta and found a problem with the docking system:

When I open the nose cone and attempt to dock I can't. The HUD says 'docked' even when I am not - but only when the nose cone is open.

I have tried docking to DanSteph's ISS and your 'Eridanuscargoshort' module.

If I use scenario editor to dock then I find myself transported some distance away. The 'Docked to ISS-Spotlights' scenario works fine and I am docked to ISS.

You and me both, I may be stupid from time to time, but without a link, I'm like anyone else... Clueless! Not stupid or dumb. I don't have time for games... I didn't see it in OHM, so it's still vaporware to me. I'd like a chance to fly it myself, the launch vehicles were very nice.
I can't read italian, but the latest beta on the italy forum seems to be older than the above mentioned.

When trying to open the files (that older beta and the newest beta- I was one of the smart ones ) it keeps saying it can't open the file as an archive. I'm using 7Zip.

Does anyone know why that is please? Its infuriating having them but not being able to use it!

Maybe is problem in type of archive,is it rar or zip.
I think (don't have Win7) zip file Windows XP can open or extract but for rar or another type of archive you need program for that kind or archive to open.

WinRAR and 7Zip(Free) will open any archive file, try those. I run Win 7 but dont rely on the OS to do my utilities job.

Don't know than,you try to use right click option on zip file and see what offer,if give extract option just extract to Orbiter directory.

no... no... probably, Fausto has used "smart" for "fast"... sometimes language is a big obstacle. He did not want to offend anyone!

I know the Italians have translation problems. I don't fault him/them for that. No offense taken here.

Eridanus betas has never been "officially" available... The betas released on the italian forum are only for "internal" work... For this reason the link has never been published on Orbiter Forum.
