Resolved "Similar threads" display control

Can the "Similar threads" block at the end of the page be disabled/hidden, minimized, or at least return to having it's size limited? Sometime ago it began showing "full length", so now most of the page is "Similar threads"... Even now opening this thread, I had a list of 50 threads shown and had to scroll past all that to get to the text box. ?

I've limited this to 5 threads (was 50?!) and also put a limit of 365 days on it, because I noticed it was pulling in threads from ten years ago which is dubiously helpful.

Something changed recently, as now 2 blocks of "Similar threads" are being displayed.
