Given that USA and China are two rival military super-powers, it wouldn't surprise me if China launches an answer to the X-37B (which is a military program). Those things could probably become satellite interceptors if needed.

No one will touch Shuttle-like design with 10-meter pole for decades, if ever. I expect those announced Powerpoint spaceplanes are way smaller than STS shuttle was, like X-37. Even manned spaceplanes will be significantly smaller than Shuttle.

I would like to add a single point to plane vs capsule debate - on capsule in case of parachute failure you can (and usually do) use back-up one, but you can't have a second set of wings and replace them on the go...
