Orbiter 2011?

What do you want them to be?
The creator of Orbiter and add-on makers read this forum, you know.

I want only a callback function to program the mapping from control inputs to RCS thrusters and control surfaces myself.

MFD's made by me... as soon as I learn some C

Although I am very happy with the improvements found in Orbiter 2010, I would still like to see some sort of mesh collision detection system implemented (local lighting is a step towards this, which I really like, no more EVA's in the dark!).

You can expect some improvements to the Shuttle-A which are in fact happening now, as well as higher-resolution Earth textures and coastlines.

Also, have a look at the Orbiter beta page, here:

For addons, new stuff is coming out or being announced all the time, so just have a look at the forum every so often.

I can think of several ways to bypass this problem (none of them very good, though), but for interstellar travel there would need to be some sort of system that determined how many significant digits were needed for accurately determining your vessel's position.

To bypass this there might determine your coordinates relative to the nearest celestial body. Although that would require some code to accurately determine that celestial body's position, depending on how accurate you want it.

More callbacks and functions for transforming between various systems (global, local,...), also, a way to get acceleration and relative acceleration? Any time I do F/m, the acceleration I get jumps between two orders of magnitude, while I see the arrows for force do not...

Kristen Bell...

Hmm... Kristen Bell...

oh wait! something I really want that i completely forgot about is some instant hover/hover kill commands!!! I've wanted this since I got my joystick...so many years ago...ok maybe like 2 years ago.

Yes. I would appreciate that greatly.

Display acceleration again instead of thrust in the top left corner of the screen or do both like this: acceleration / thrust (no, don't divide them).

Or have a switch in Orbiter.cfg to select it.

Done long ago.
