I've been playing with Orbiter for about 2 weeks now, and I must say it's very fun :) I've created this video in tribute to the game.. err.. simulator? ;) In hopes to more people downloading and playing it. Well, hope you like? Haha

Good job, and welcome to Orbiter and this forum
PS: You should have used the new Remix of that song, would be more catchy;)
Pluse I suggest DLing some high res add-ons to improver the quality of the vid. Very good still :)

Welcome to the forum!

Good choice of music! ;)

You know, one possible improvement to your video could be to install higher-res versions of the earth and sky. Such add-ons can really improve the appearance of both.

Cheers

Also, turning off the On Screen information in the upper corners will do wonders for the visual quality.

Welcome to the community semedar!

I see you're in Texas too, where abouts are you located? Good to see new people discovering Orbiter and making videos. As others mentioned you may try some addons including Earth L10 if your PC can handle it and also the Orbiter Atmospheric Visual Enhancement. Check out THIS page for many popular addons. Also as TSPenguin mentioned you can turn off the sim info to further improve the appearance. When in the sim press 'I' to disable the sim info.

:speakcool:

Haha thanks for the replies, people :) I wasn't aware of higher resolution addons, will download and install now ^^ Thanks! And I'm in San Antonio, Texas, Tex. Where abouts are you located?

Anyone know where to download or look at a Orbiter keychart? I donno how to do what I want to do. I just end up aimlessly pressing random buttons twice, just incase I trigger something by accident.

The Manuals for Orbiter and the various ships have keycharts in them. The XR series ships can even fill your screen with a complete reference.

You can look through the Keymap.cfg file in your base Orbiter directory :)

Keep in mind though that some ships like DeltaGliderIV and the XR series have features that might not be accessible from the usual keymap. You can switch to 2D panel view (or 3D virtual cockpit) with F8. Then you can use arrow keys to scroll the panels and Ctrl + arrow keys to switch to other panels. Most, if not all buttons on the panels actually work and control certain features :)

Aye, thanks for the help! Will look into the manuals and the .cfg file :)
