Currently in the process of putting together the last parts of my own model rocket. I'm planning on launching hopefully in the next 2 weeks if I'm able to find a space that allows rockets/drones in the area. If you've done anything similar I'm looking for any last minute tips or advice for anything you wish you knew before launching.

Depending on your location, you might need to request a NOTAM, so I would read or get informed about that. About the area for launch, I would check if there is any aeromodelling club around your location, so that they can get you on a good direction before the launch. Remember that you are using some airspace, so you have to be ready in case something goes wrong, a model rocket is not the same as an RC aircraft model or a drone.
