Yeah, our former foreign minister Hans-Dietrich Genscher was among the soldiers of the 12th army involved. Just like the famous German comedian Dieter Hildebrand. Was likely the best you can do with Hitlers orders - to hell with them.

He does seem to research the difficult and lesser known items. I've often wondered how many small actions happened as Hitler's forces
fought on or tried to surrender/disappear into civilian life.
Luck of the draw whether they were up against Russian or Allied troops.

Yeah, a similar level as Drachnifel regarding ships. His videos might be quite longs sometimes, but worth the time, especially the one on naval boilers is recommendable.
