Hi I am new to the game and the forums so i thought it would be good to introduce myself. Im only downloading the game at the moment so could someone tell me a little on the games features i know you can fly spacecraft (yay!) but thats all. Do you get to assemble your own craft? Could someone also point me towards some good addons like the Falcon 9 Heavy and project Constellation if there are some.
edit: Help game says cannot run game in DOS mode? Dose that mean i cant run it on my old Mac because i killed my Acer a few days ago? Is there a download for Mac?

Thanks i hope to enjoy this game very much!

Welcome.:welcome:
Just remember that Orbiter is not a game, but a simulator.
And a very good one too.
First of all there is a learning curve.
You must familiarize yourself with the spacecraft you intent to operate.
Then there is the law of orbital mechanics that must be mastered.
And of course if you are on Earth there is the atmosphere to reckon with.
Orbiter simulate these features very well.
And do not give up.

Welcome to the forums. The best Falcon 9 family addon that I know of is this. Just be sure to download the other necessary addons for it.

And no, Orbiter does not run on Apples. But it does run well on even really modest x86/MS Windows hardware. My computer is from 2004, but still deals fine with Orbiter, as long as I don't use the bigger add-ons.

Welcome SpaceX!
If you're "just downloading Orbiter", I wouldn't advidse you to already download more add-ons...
Orbiter's learning curve needs its time.

P.S.: When I saw this thread I made a jump on my chair!! I thought: "Elon himself on OF!!!!"

Well, perhaps we could direct him to OrbiterSound? It does make a world of difference. :)

Of course! I forgot to mention it.
OrbiterSound is such "a part" of Orbiter, that I don't even treat it as an "add-on" (but it is...).

Cool I just smashed the screen of my Acer a few days ago by tripping on a cord grrrr! I need to wait 6 weeks for it to be repaired! So orbiter will work fine with i5 processor, 6-gig memory, 540-gig memory and a 640-gig memory external storage device? Is the whole solar system included to scale or do I need addons for that? What Spacecraft are included with out getting addons? Is there a addon for the Orion Project Nuclear Pulse Propulsion?

No I have nothing to do with SpaceX in real life I just think it is the ultimate commercial space travel company ever!

P.S. If I ran SpaceX Red Dragon would have much more funds and the Falcon Heavy would have 4 not 2 boosters BIGGER PAYLOADS!
