Moon has an atmosphere???
Earth so near to the horizon? Must be a polar landing.

Parody of the recent moon hoax episode of Mythbusters. Interestingly, it was released in March which is not too long after the episode was announced.

Well, not a parody really. This clip has been around for at least a year. Still its hilarious. I love it!!!!!! (You know, anyone using more than 4 exclamation marks has to be crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

That's my favourite STS-1 video:

You made me remember this one:

Funny Heineken Commercial

Has this been broadcasted outside the Netherlands as well?

I remember seeing that one a couple of times a while back. Too bad the beer would probably boil in Mars' low atmospheric pressure.

And here is a video I came to share. It kind of impresses me on what small children can learn, even though she probably does not understand the context of it.

Why no braking chute was deployed during the final roll?

Hmm, didn't mom show her the right country at a different map each time? It would not be too easy as well, however.

The orbiters weren't equipped with a drag chute for the first few missions; but heavy stress on the brakes and a blown tire led to adding the drag chute for increased safety margin. The chute doesn't really reduce the landing roll distance much; it's job is to allow the pilot to lay off the brakes until the bird slows to safer speeds.

Bo Diddley's finest performance?

The rockingest thing I have ever seen, bar none

Featuring Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Acceleration, this is a fun NOE (Nap-of-the-Earth) flight through the Grand Canyon I put together this week.

Aw, Tex how did you get FSX acceleration to work? Whenever I try to shich back to the VC I get a CTD, not to mention the afterburner gives me a VERY low framerate

I knew Bo Diddley was good but wow, that was pretty crazy.

Talking about good performances, Josh Homme and Scott Reeder (guitarist and bassist) are awesome. (There is strong language in this video, just so you know.)

I like the overall sound of the studio version a bit better, it isn't quite as fast ( I think the drumming was faster which sets the tempo of the whole song faster) but the guitar and especially the bass performances are crazy.

Really great. I'd never heard of them before, thanks for the tip.

Here's a fan vid for the WALL-E movie made by my son Patrick. Brilliant film, by the way (I mean Wall-E, not the kid's vid).

And interesting video about Harrison Schmitt:

But what is more interesting, for me anyway, at the end, they show a clip of him on the Moon. And it looks like C-SPAN might have used the same clip I uploaded to YouTube. My version (notice the split-second blue screen in both versions):

2 Australian comedians who do a weekly satirical political skit.

Wow, that is really raw rock. With what had they been fueling this guy, he is not dancing with the guitar, the guitar is dancing with him! Really energetic. And especially impressive regarding the fact that he does not use these whimsy radio gears, but good old cables for bringing the sound to the speakers.
