I filled up my payload bay in the XR5 with Main fuel. It says in the manual that i'm supposed to use those now, but I'm not. Am I doing something wrong, or is it just not working?

The fuel contained in the bay pods show up on the regular fuel gauge. If you look closely, you will see that there are two shades of green on the fuel bar, with the lighter shade (at the "full" end) being the fuel in the cargo pod tanks. The fuel in the cargo pods is used first automatically, no action is needed to make that happen (and no action can change that)

But that doesn't happen for me

...
I just checked the name...
XR2MainFuel.

woops.
But, that raises a new question: Where is the XR5Mainfuel? I didn't see ANY XR5 stuff in the Payload editor

There is no XR5 stuff... Everything not named XR2 is XR5 stuff :P
The only reason it would not work is that you have an outdated version of the XR5!

This is what it looks like when it is working:

I just re-downloaded the XR5 1.2 and over wrote everything. I still see any XR Fuel, besides the XR2

I am sorry, I didn't make myself clear enough.
Currently there are no payloads whatsoever starting with XR5. The payloads starting with XR2 are named that way because they fit in the XR2. Everything fits in the XR5.

Since you now have the current version, when you fill your payload bay with XR2MainFuel, your fuel gauge should look exactly like the one I attached to my previous post.

I did try that at first, before I noticed it said XR2. Still doesn't work

Does it work in the XR2?
I think so.
I tried it with a semi-full tank (about 75% main fuel left), and it worked. But, when I tried it with a full tank, it didn't work.

I am sorry to ask, but are you sure?
Maybe you can not seperate the two colors... Please try writing down the current fuel load, then add the tanks and compare.
It seems very unlikely, that you are the only one with problems like this.

Well, i read the alert message when I add a fuel tank: Its empty
So, the next logical question: how do i get them full?

They should be full...
You can fill them simply by refueling your ship, the tanks will be filled up as well.
Something is very wrong in your install...

Okay, I filled my fuel tanks, it worked...when It said "Main fuel tanks full", it showed what it should have, except when I burned and used all the tank fuel, the fuel starting going down from the normal colored mark, like the main fuel tank wasn't full.

Is it just the way it works, or is my install STILL messed up

That is how it should work.
The fuel gauge shows your total capacity, including any tanks you might have.

ooh, okay. Thanks for all the help, I really appreciate it
