Hey guys,
I was doing a landing in the XR2 and i noticed that the call outs and data on the mode MED thing doesnt math up to the HUD or the pop-up screen that is in the XR series, has anybody noticed this problem, i know its not that big of a problem but now that i have found it, it's going to bug me if i dont ask anyone.
Thanks.
Ryan.

If it's only slightly, that's because when you are on the ground, you are actually like 3.2 meters up (or something like that).

I've never had this problem. so I can't help you.

I also doubt that anyone else but you has had this problem. (i hate English. yes I do not speek English as a first language. I speek Irish.)

No its like a couple of Kilometres off. :(

If I understand you correctly, you are referring to the altitude displayed on the XR2's surface HUD just to the lower-right of center. As Zane said, that displays the distance from your gear to the ground, whereas the altitude returned by the Orbiter core, which is what is shown on Orbiter's Surface MFD, shows the altitude from the ship's center of mass. In the XR2's case, the difference is exactly 2.6 meters. With the gear up, the altitude displayed on the XR2's HUD will match the Surface MFD's altitude value exactly.

The altitude callouts also take the gear into account, so they match the value shown on the XR2's surface HUD. [When landing or doing a hover descent you want to go by the gear-down altitude.] If you are seeing a difference between the Surface MFD and the XR2's gear-down altitude of "several kilometers," something bizarre is going on. Please post some screenshots and a scenario reproducing the problem and I'll investigate further.
