Humor US tax dollars hard at work

I think it is just too good to be true...

WHEREAS, The deletion of Pluto as a planet is a hasty, ill-considered scientific heresy similar to questioning the Copernican theory, drawing maps of a round world, and proving the existence of the time and space continuum;

My favorite "whereas's"

WHEREAS, The downgrading of Pluto reduces the number of planets available for legislative leaders to hide redistricting legislation and other inconvenient political reform measures; and

WHEREAS, The California Legislature, in the closing days of the 2005-06 session, has been considering few matters important to the future of California, and the status of Pluto takes precedence and is worthy of this body's immediate attention; now, therefore, be it

WHEREAS, Downgrading Pluto's status will cause psychological harm to some Californians who question their place in the universe and worry about the instability of universal constants

HELP! PLUTO ISN'T CONSIDERED A MAJOR PLANET ANYMORE!!! I MUST SAVE MYSELF FROM THE ALLEGED INSTABILITY OF UNIVERSAL CONSTANTS!!! :suicide:

I guess any state that's run by the "governator" will have stuff like this, lol. However, it could be worse, Illinois and New Mexico did pass bills declaring Pluto a planet (although their bills were 'serious' ones, not lighthearted ones that weren't meant to go anywhere).

Yep, seems like California legislators aren't the only ones that want 8 other planets to hide failed policies on :rofl::lol:

I mean... how serious could such a law be? You gonna imprison anyone who thinks Pluto is not a planet? :P

The deletion of Pluto as a planet renders millions of text books, museum displays, and children's refrigerator art projects obsolete,

What?

Is there anything about California that isn't a joke? Even Tool sings a song about how Maynard can't wait for it to fall into the ocean on the Aenema album. It's a beautiful piece of land, and I have some very good friends there, but sometimes it is a parody of itself.

Pluto was a failed attempt to launch a planet into a useful orbit. Another political goof of our alien friends.

It takes too much fuel to align planes with it, so to save fuel, you may just exclude it from solar system and think that you only need to explore as far as Neptune.

I can see a conspiracy to hide alien goofs in Area 51...
The danger is that it may render universe unstable.
And also I can see Pluto as an attempt, an alien conspiracy, to divert our exploration to find the dwarf planet X and keep it away from our eyes.

Hey, alien friends in this forum. I DISCOVERED YOUR CONSPIRACY!!!:lol::rofl:
