Problem UCGO Issues

Death Star II
First, UCGO is a great program and I'm having a lot of fun with it, but I am having a problem. I like to do a series of missions where one leads to the next, so after each one I save it as a new scenario. I have UCGO modules unpacked and they work fine in the orginal scenario, but once I try to reload it, either from a quicksave or a regular scenario, it doesn't work. Also, this only seems to happen with certain modules (solar panels, lights, tanks). Any ideas on what might be wrong?

going kind of off topic but, mind using the code tags around your orbiter log and scenario files ? it makes them much easier to read
 
I don't have half of those installed mods so I cannot test, but there are a lot of vessels.

Try this: make a test scenario removing all but the delta gliders or so. Run it and if it works, then great. Start adding all the ships one by one until it crashes. The vessel you last added might have an issue or it might have an issue with any other vessel. Hard to tell with so many vessels all together. Good luck :cheers:
 
Since I've been using this same scenario for months, only adding things to it, shouldn't that mean the last thing I added (the UCGO tank) is causing the problem?
 
Not at all, it might be anything: Orbiter, other vessels, modules or UCGO !
Without info it's impossible to say, "don't work" doesn't reffer to any C++ function. ;)

What "does not work" exactly ? Can you try what BJ said above ?

-First try to disable all modules (launchpad module menu) Try.
-Then remove vessels one by one starting by the first one and try every time.

Keep the scenarios before (bug) and after (solved) and it may give an indication.
Be methodic, one by one etc.

I haven't done much with UCGO yet except marvel. It looks like UCGO does not like the autopilotmfd. I use that ol' standby to taxi to the runway and for runway landings upon reentry with the DGIV. I hope I can come up with some workaround procedures...

I've come upon another UCGO bug, not sure if this onbe has been addressed...

When I transfer crew from the Arrow to the dgiv (or any other docked ship for that matter) the crew do not actually transfer. What happens instead is that they are shoved THROUGH the ship out into space where they exist only as a point in space (bodies are invisible) marked UMMUtlaunch1...UMMUtlaunch2 etc...

If you select one of the UMMUtlaunch's you can see from 1st person (inside the suit) and even maneuver it, but you cannot access any airlocks and reboard the ship, so the only thing that can be done with these is to edit them out of the scenario and edit them directly onto the dgiv.
 
And to add another option, I had a weird issue where I couldn't get a ummu to enter the azure rover without a CTD so I delted all the SAVEVAR lines. Whatever the problems was that fixed it so it might be worth a go with you scenario. Make a back up first!

I use a UCGO'ed Tow vehicle with a Universal RMS as a tow bar.
 
Ok, here's one. Twice now I've had my scenario corrupt and become unopenable after I either deleted or transferred the default arrow crew in favor of my own. Has anybody else experienced this?
 
Ok, here we go again. I have 2 bugs to address, 1 is hillarious the other is not:( I've just installed Orulex so I suspect that both issues may be a result of the interaction between the 2 add ons.

1)I am installing a base on Mars. I unload the cargo from the Arrow onto the azure and then transport it to the construction site. I unload the cargo from the azure, get out of the car and pick up the cargo box to put it into position, but when I pick it up, the crewman picks the box up diagonally with the bottom of the box facing the crewman. Confused, I press "g" again to drop the box and the box is suddenly launched over a thousand feet into the air and then falls back to the ground and bounces a ways. I try this several times with the same result. I turn to my fellow crewman, press "g" to grab him with the same diagonal result. When I release him, he too gets launched, but only about 6 or 8 feet. I get both crewmen back into the azure and load the cargo back onto the vehicle; unload the cargo again, get out and the problem is fixed. Then I switch to a crew member who is already in the base to find problem 2.

2) 6 crewmen inside the base (not in suits because of breathable atmosphere in the life modules) have inexplicably expired... The crew in the life modules had been there for only about an hour :(

edit: In the time it took me to type this bug report, 3 more crew died in the base. Again I checked the atmosphere before unsuiting and was told that the atmosphere was good. These 3 had been inside for 5 minutes or less. These were the crew members who were doing the cargo launching.

Orulex didn't add micrometeorites to puncture my hab modules did it? I tested the atmosphere in each module before taking off the suits.

Ok, immediately after my last post I returned to the scenario to find the WHOLE COLONY had mysteriously perished, even the crew on the Arrow. I switched to a crewed ship in the outer solar system to see if there were any issues going on there...nothing. When I switched back to the arrow, I found her slowly tumbling end over end, 1900km off the surface of mars and climbing at 5900mps! I jumped around the system to find EVERY SHIP that had been landed at that point was in much the same state.

From all this I can only conclude that the problem has something to do with Orulex and the way it interacts with ucgo. I'm still trying to figure out why my crew died.
