Humor Things to do during a blackout

My personal method for dealing with power outages is:

When in other parts of the world:
- Curse at the darkness.

When in South Africa:
- Curse at [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eskom"]Eskom[/ame].
Or alternatively;
- Curse at the copper-cable thieves who caused your local substation to burn out.

:P

It's hailing like crazy over here. Severe thunderstorms all over my area.

Meh, I don't care that much. The charging port on my cell phone broke a few months ago, so I had to buy some extra (extended)batteries and external chargers. I have enough juice between them all to read books for 80 hours straight. Plus we have two generators(one for home, the other for RV). And I have a battery backup on my computer, plus the surrounding woods full of deer, turkey, rabbits, etc. My biggest worry in an apocolyptic scenario would be looters.

I've thought about getting a generator, but power outages are just rare enough to make it more trouble than it's worth. Another engine that has to be maintained, and I really don't have a good place to store it.

Shuffle around outside, chanting: Ph'nglui R'yleh T'leth Cthulhu
Sneak around at night, humming Splinter Cell music
SLEEP. I can sleep anywhere. I live in Tennessee.
