IMFD Strange behaviour

I have been trying to follow David Courtney's excellent IMFD tutorial series. But whenever I go into the Course program the dV and orbit keeps randomly jumping around. I don't think I have missed a step in his videos?

Also In Map, it keeps jumping between Ap 1 of 1 and using Ship screens. Pressing MOD brings up Reentry Display with the text blinking in and out. Further testing with different scenarios: default DG MK4 in orbit works fine. But DG cape canaveral displays those symptoms.

i tried re-installing IMFD but no luck.

First problem occurs when you are landed on a planet with source set to self. Either set the source to Earth to go interplanetary or use surface launch-lunar off-plane to get to the moon.

Map should be okay once you get into orbit.
