Stations at Lagrange L4 or L5?

How can I fly to, and place a stable station at, the L4 and L5 points of the Earth/Moon system? I know how to have things in Earth or Moon orbit, and I'd like to have something out there to populate other points of the Earth/Moon system. I know the L1 point directly between the two would be ideal, but fishing around the forum has led me to believe the Moon's eccentricity makes that too unstable. L4 and L5, however, are supposed to be pretty solid.

How can I get there, reliably know when I am there, and position a station such that it'll be there when I get back?

You can't have the station reliably be there when you get back, without some kind of stationkeeping. The L4/L5 points aren't *that* stable.

How unstable are we talking? As I understand it, Lagrange points are more of an area than a specific point, so will the station always be within the general region of the point, or will it eventually go flying out into space or drift off somewhere not even remotely close?
