the ship is all together now
seems to be in cockpit but no f8
target is centaur
but facing the bay
cant get in actual vc mode
Just press F3 and select the orbiter (Atlantis).

which modules do you use

I take that as a question. The answer is: self-compiled modules. I only did a quick check for you with a plain Orbiter installation and the mentioned snapshot plus pre-compiled modules.

Keep in mind that SSU is work in progress.

so the apus are not functional at this point
i can handle that

This is not what I said. It could be that they are not, but I'm not on the SSU team, so it would be a question for DaveS, Orbiter_fan, Urwumpe, Donamy, Siamesecat, Kwan, Lipiak, Gls, Mission_CDR or Zerofay (contributors to date).

now just so i know 1357 doesnt work right
with your package

It works the same for me with:

  • a SVN checkout of 1357 plus a recompile as with
  • the mentioned snapshot and the pre-compiled modules.
For the "working right" I am the wrong person to ask, though.

The scenarios were made at different times, so some may not be compatible with present build, without modification.

2 last question
there is no more 1.25 right
im using and enjoying 1.06 for now
i loves me some switches

also who is the shuttle texturer on the project SSU
i have 2 new 1.06 textures for shuttle in the NG launchpad
or are they obsolete now

take care
Neither 1.06 or 1.25 really exist anymore since they're completely unsupported. The textures however are mostly the same but there are some key differences especially when it comes to the payload bay.

Send me a screenshot or sample of your work and we'll see. The textures are mostly the same as the default Atlantis and Shuttle Fleet but with our own modifications to make them more accurate.

using the D3D9Client with screen capture all i get is a black jpg?
should i just send you the textures 2 and 1
Try regular the Print Screen key and paste the image into a image program. And send me both.

Checked them out and the details are good but the colors are all distorted and warped. Not exactly a good thing for something that is supposed to look accurate and good. That's sure to cause headaches after a while.

are you using the regular LP
No, D3D9Client. As I wrote, the details appear fine but the colors are wrong and warped compared to the original.

Thanks for having a look

which colors are distorted
The labels, the flags, the logos etc. Anything that is anything but extreme white or extreme black has its colors all wrong if you compare it with the original.

Also, the details are coming on a bit too strong. Here's a nice close-up of the AFRSI blankets on Endeavour during the roll-out ceremony on April 25 1991:

Those are bit better, but the colors are not even. They're still shifted way too much into the green. This is a comparison with a nice even lit photo of Atlantis during her transfer on the OTS from OPF-2 to VAB HB-2 on October 17 2012:

You can't. The timer is supposed to show the MET. In some of the scenarios, the MET isn't defined, so the timer starts from 0.

BTW, if you haven't done this yet, you should take a look at the documents here: http://www.nasa.gov/centers/johnson/news/flightdatafiles/index.html
The Shuttle Crew Operations Manual (SCOM) and DPS Dictionary are particularly helpful. we're trying to make the simulation as realistic as possible, so these documents should describe how SSU works fairly well (although obviously we're missing a lot of things still).

I can't turn on the left mfd in the pilot's position. Does anyone else have this ?

Confirmed. I suspect this is a particularly bad case of the VC MFD clickpoints being badly defined.

Does anyone besides DaveS have a working launch scenario ? CTD every one I had working in the past.

Finally got a launch to work with newest SSU (Thanks to DaveS). I would like to know, if there is a way to have a 'frozen' SSU release build, that could be refered to, when releasing a mission pack that doesn't get broken without notice. It would eliminate alot of confusion.
