Space Shuttle Ultra development thread

Did you start the APUs?

If you are having problems, you need to be more specific in order for anyone to be able to help.

MLP update: I'm right now adding the LOX supply pipes and the LOX Engine Bleedline. Then I'll start work on adding the cryo line brackets.

3) must I create the engines???

3) If it works, yes. But we will need a way to group all SSMEs to one thruster group for manual control.
I think the best way to do this would be to associate the main thruster group with a single, null thruster to simulate the manual throttle. The GPCs could then check the level of this thruster to throttle the actual SSMEs. I'm planning to use a similar system for attitude control.

My autopilot not only not work, but give me no control whatsoever :'(

Please leave the development thread free of support questions and read the manual (Start a new thread for support questions AFTER you really read and understood it). The chances are around 99.95% that you have just not started the APUs according to the manual and that can't work as the APUs require more care than just "turning the key". No APUs, no hydraulic pressure, no SSME thrust vector control. The next version will make sure that you can't launch at all without starting the APUs in time, and instead display a friendly message that you are not ready for launch at all.

SiameseCat: That solution is also OK, but is one thing more which makes SSU incompatible to most other guidance MFDs.

Even other guidance MFDs should work, but only if the SSU autopilot is off. In that case, the level of the THG_MAIN group will be checked every timestep, so it should be possible for external MFDs to control throttling.

Airlock almost finished.

Donamy: Looks excellent like that, how much is missing for the airlock now?

SiameseCat: You are right. Also, I just noticed that we don't need to rely on any other MFDs except CRT.MFD during the launch phase anyway.

For the orbit phase, does somebody know where I can find out more about the IPC interface for IMFD? Would be interesting if we could get MNVR pads converted from IMFD data.

The panel inside the airlock, is all that needs to be done, I'm not sure what needs to work on it.

I am also not sure which visuals need attention next... I should feel bad travelling back from my girlfriend, but currently, I can't await being back at my development PC this weekend. :speakcool:

Do you already have a version of the external Airlock without ODS on top?

The various communication system panels could be interesting in the next months, but I fear it would be a rather limited feature for a while, as I currently only plan to use the extended intercom circuit for displaying GLS messages.

Do you also have some source material for making the mission specialist seats?

Donamy: Are you interested in working on SLC-6 while I work on LC-39? I can send you what I have on it so you could put some finishing touches on it.

Hi guys! I'm enjoying SSU. Thanks lot for all developers:).
It looks forward to next release.

Donamy:I have one question. Are you going to release STS-124 payload?

Maybe in the future, would like to get things for the SSU ironed out first.

MS1 and 2 seats done !!

Need to find more pics of the external airlock, minus the ODS.
