Hi everyone,

I have just installed SSU onto my version of Orbiter 2010 P1, and everything was going fine until I pressed the 'OMS' button followed by 'UP' on the CRT MFD. I am sure that this is just a small issue which may or may not be fixable, but if anyone can help me avoid it again, I would be grateful. I also get the following Orbiter.txt:

What version of SSU are you using? SSU V1.25 doesn't work on Orbiter 2010.
 
I think it is V1.0 - that's what it says in the manual.
 
That's an older version (or the manual wasn't updated when V1.25 was released), but it won't work with O2010 either. If you want to use SSU in Orbiter 2010 you'll have to get the files from sourceforge and compile the code. We aren't planning a new SSU release anytime soon.
 
Oh right - it all worked fine up to that point. It looks like such a great addon too!

I just did another ascent, and it worked fine this time - it was probably a momentary blip.
 
Actually, I've been having that same CTD when hitting the OMS button in CRT MFD following Et sep and translation. In my case, I'm running Ultra 1.25 with the patches listed in the bug thread of the development forum (post 84: http://www.orbiter-forum.com/showpost.php?p=100065&postcount=84) on a clean install of 06SP1 with OrbSound3.5, spacecraft3 and Hi-Res KSC, and with OrbSound and CRT modules enabled.

CTD seems to occur regardless of scenario, and regardless of whenever OMS is pressed in the CRT MFD: in orbit or on the ground, APU running or not, in any MFD display in either the VC or 2-D "cockpit" equivalent, etc. SPI and HYD buttons ok however.

This particular CTD was mentioned in the final pages of that thread above, but no solution was found. And as no one had posted to that thread in 6 months or so, I was hesitant to start it rolling again.

SC, I'm just guessing here, but based on what I've read in the B Revision dev thread, are all your guy's efforts currently focused towards an 2010 version of Ultra?

In the older SSU code, there were a couple of issues that caused CTDs. This only happened for a few people in O2006 (and we couldn't reproduce it), but occurred much more frequently in O2010. This has been fixed for the next version (whenever it's released). We don't plan on fixing the 2006 version.

I have been toying with the idea of regularly compiling the dev code and posting unsupported releases on sourceforge. How many people would be interested in this?
 
Wow, dumb dumb dumb. I was searching in my module folder for something completely unrelated, but I noticed the crt.dll there and not in the Plugin subfolder where it belonged. :facepalm:

It never fails to amaze me how we (and by "we" I really mean "I") manage to overlook the super obvious, like simple file structure!

And an emphatic 3!
