93% in an introductory placement test for a Technical English certification (for finally getting the C-level)... thank you O-F

I managed to get a C2 level certification (TOEFL test, certification level is awarded according to the results in a common test, C1 was needed for master's degree) in very large part thanks to Top Gear and OF. :)

Is English proficiency common in mainland Europe?

He is fluent in over six million forms of languages.

How many languages do you speak, out of curiosity?

Actually speak? Uhm, two. Three if ordering ice cream counts as speaking a language. Or when I'm drunk and mix up my English and German I speak Dutch...does Swiss German count?

Alright, just two...

You speak swiss german? I find that a bit diffcult to believe...

Well, when we Germans speak about Swiss German, we mean Jörg Kachelmann (who was from the rather German Schaffhausen) or the Seitenbacher advertisements (Which are also in (low) Alemannic dialect).

Not the Klingon dialect that is really spoken down there.

In my expierience, when Germans speak about Swiss German, they're thinking of swiss people speaking actual high-german with a terrible accent...

I actually grew up near and spend a lot of time in [ame="http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kleinwalsertal"]this area[/ame] of Austria, which was inhabited from Valais. I speak their dialect, although at this point you might argue it got mixed up with Swabian and other Alemannic dialects.

Also you could argue that "Swiss German" as one common thing doesn't really exist since there's quite a difference within it. Then again the same goes for Bavarian and East Frisian...

Hitler playing GTA 5??!!
