I always thought Plesetsk is far further east.
(Yes, Vandenberg is spelled wrong)

Running a new OS is an amazing feeling isn't it? Especially when you build your own machine:)
I've never built my own from scratch, but I have fixed and upgraded a few, and I'd really like to try building one for my mom:)

I have build and designed a few Computers already - it is a great fun, and if you Combine it would great haggling skills, also pretty economic. Many Computer Shops are really bad in avoiding bad airflow, noise and vibrations in their products - despite this really just requiring some more thinking before you build and especially: Only cable binders, where you really Need them.

My next Computer will be DIY again, the keel will be laid down somewhere in early 2015.

I'm with Urwumpe, I've only bought one pc and i had to send it back because it had the incorrect components in it. Each of my three cases I've had have had at least 5 different configurations inside. It is also fun replacing old parts with new (unless that part is the motherboard) and reusing parts to save money.

Well, a few days ago I had physics class in the class 404. The teacher was not there. Too bad I was the only one to ROFL during 5 minutes:
Code:
404 TEACHER NOT FOUND

Alright, did I do something in my setup or has Wikipedia changed its font to "utter horribleness from the 7th hell itself"?

The one website that hasn't jacked up it's interface in the past 10 years has to do something wrong eventually.

Ah, so i'm not going crazy!
Every day more and more sites on the internet change their fonts to some weird angular atrocity that is painful to read (spoken by a font-blind person!).

Here is what wiki looks like now to me:

Do you all see the same?
Or do i have a (large) collection of mangled computers somehow?

This morning was the annual eating contest at the National Weather Center. (located on my university campus)
The Flying Cow Cafe serves something called the the EF5 burrito:
1 dozen scrambled eggs, onions, bell peppers, ham, bacon and sausage, home fries and cheddar cheese, wrapped in 3 flour tortillas and topped with more cheddar cheese.

Running a new OS is an amazing feeling isn't it? Especially when you build your own machine:)

Ubuntu isn't a new OS to me, though I haven't installed my preferred desktop (MATE) yet, so the environment isn't entirely familiar, but the big thrill is seeing a *familiar* environment come up, thus telling you that you didn't brick any of the hardware putting it together.

telling you that you didn't brick any of the hardware putting it together.

Yeah, that's always the big scare the first few times around. After a few times more, you practically throw the stuff around

Oh you can still easily brick things - especially Memory modules don't like static discharges.

But: That is easily avoided. You just Need to know it before you brick a 100 € Memory module.
