Ah, there it is. I knew I'd left it in the garage somewhere...

She actually gave up all of her regenerations to save his life (the poison she gave him interfered with the regeneration process so he couldn't do it to save himself).

But finding a viable technobabble solution for anything Doctor-related is pointless: Doctor Who feeds on a constant supply of handwavium and we love it for this.

When in doubt, reverse the polarity of the neutron flow!

Just ran an income statement for the past year in GnuCash. It's been a real eye-opener...

And this is without any console purchases. I shudder to think what it will look like next year.

Installed my brand new GTX 660 few hours ago. I can't believe that she now takes 2 mins to render where it would have taken 20mins using the CPU:

That amount required would be well into the billions, and it wouldn't guarantee a result. Unmanned missions would be one thing, but an interplanetary manned mission would be a colossal undertaking. Especially so for a single organization.

What we find out 2000 years later...

Until a few years ago, we had been pretty unaware of how many of those had been deployed by roman armies. And then a battlefield was rediscovered at the Harz mountains, with hundreds of arrow heads deep in the soil, allowing to identify firing positions and the large number of scorpions deployed in this battle far away from the roman empire deep into hostile Germanic lands.
