Shall I admit that I've been going to bed at 9 PM on December 31 since 2006?
Yeah, I neither like fireworks nor booze.

I love fireworks!

One year, I had been firing rockets for 3 hours on new year with a friend, firing off lots of stuff bought for the previous years without a chance to ignite them.

Its like KSP, just better.

I'm just irked by some parts of the "talking to real people cures your antisocialness" argument.)

Thanks Izack, but please remember that there's [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asocial"]a difference[/ame] between asocial and antisocial. I'm the former, not the latter.

There's also a thing called social skills. How you interact with people. No offence to other animals (like coyotes, wait, what?) but that's something that makes the human human and that makes the human special and somehow important.

I do realize the importance of social skills (especially when getting a job); I just don't want to have a face-to-face conversation and have it delve into topics like the details of someone's personal life, or a television program/movie/video game that I will never care about.

I realize the importance of defending my country, I just don't want to pull a trigger.

That's how that sounds to me. It's mandatory.

And I'm too militaristic.

Good evening, Professor Falken. It's been a long time.

I'm going to get Ace Combat 5 soon.

---------- Post added at 03:43 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:38 PM ----------

and I just got it from the mailbox. Going to play it later.

I wish we had rail-launched SSTOs.

(Basset Space Center from Ace Combat 5)

It even has what looks like a Missile Row. Of course, because the country where it is located in (Osea) is based off the U.S.

Before Kerbal Space Program, whenever I searched "SSTO" on YouTube, I would get a couple videos about Ace Combat...
and the rest would be about some trampolining competition (Scottish Student Trampolining Open).

I made a scientific breakthrough this evening : a full, unopened beer glass bottle sinks.

It is winter (not astronomically but...) now, and cold tap water is really cold. I wanted to cool a beer bottle that was at ambient temp. So I had the idea to fill the sink with cold water, and let the bottle float into it. Except it sunk, and fast, I wasn't expecting that. For some reason I was believing that all the CO2 in beer was enough to make it float. But the glass is pretty heavy, too.

Another misconception that radically went away, another small step forward for personnal science !
