She threatened to give a student a detention for disagreeing with her by saying that Bismarck put more work into unifying German than the Brothers Grimm.

While mixing language with history lessons is a very tired subject, I think this case cannot be debated unless it is known in what form the disagreement happened...

GAH! Typos...

Fixed it now. That completely changed what I was writing.

Well, then he was definitely right, since the Brothers Grimm did not work on any political unification, but like many other famous German scientists of their time, did sure contribute to a cultural unification, but bringing fairy tales from many different places of Germany together and help spreading them.

Unless I read that wrong, that argument is about as silly as claiming Kennedy was a jelly donut. :idk:

Well, outside Berlin, he would have said that. "Berliner" are some popular kind of jelly donut here. But in Berlin, they are called "Pfannkuchen" (pan cake). So, since he was in Berlin, he did not say "I was a jelly donut".

What came first, the donut or the hole? ;)

Since German researchers have found 10000 year old holes in Germany, but not a 10000 year old donut, it is easy to claim that the hole must have been first, though likely evolutionary independent of the hole in a donut.

I like virtual cockpits. The DG-IV does not have one. The default DG does. The default DG does not have high-res textures. Even that awesome space shuttle repaint isn't in high res. Is there a high-resolution texture somewhere for the Delta Glider?

Been awhile since I did something like this, but this just JUMPED out at me:

What is your problem there? It is a transcript of the magnetic tape (I know, many here had been born long after such technology existed) number 29.

No problem here. :) I grew up in the era of Betamax competing with VHS, and audio cassette tapes sold in the department immediately next to the cash register banks of your local superstore.

It's such an irony, that these two statements are worthy of a demotivational poster themselves.

One about MISSING THE POINT!

Don't mean to stereotype...but germans have little sense of humor :P

Here in Hong Kong, the 45th day of the year, a.k.a. "the-day-which-must-not-be-named" or "you-know-what-day-it-is-when-you-look-around" for people like me, has begun.
