How long does it take to boot the OS and what OS is it?

First, 15 seconds for BIOS POST.
Then, 22 seconds for PCI-E SSD to initialize.
Lastly, 14 seconds for Win7 x64 to get to the desktop.

That initialization step actually make the total boot time a few seconds longer than before, but it's the run time that matters.

We've been having an odd go at it this time around. Every time we've been hit by an Alberta Clipper, the next day or two has seen a thaw. In fact last week (what was it, Wednesday?) we were all out and about during the day sans jackets. That night, the temps dropped to sub-freezing.

cliffs of dover looks epic, but the system requirements are equally epic

the lowest "supported" ATI card is 4850, i dont think my 3000 will cope very well, or my "4GB" of RAM thats somehow become 2.8 or so

not to mention that BT has messes up our broadband, and a 10Gb download would take anywhere from a day to a week, never mind the 1000ms ping i get on some european servers

perhaps in a couple of years when i have a new computer, but first i need to save up for my motorbike, so i can halve my weekly travel expenses

now i really want it

this has got to be the most graphically pleasing game/sim i have ever seen

and multiplayer battles that can last a year? that has to be bloody marvellous!
