That reminds me... mine expires on Friday. Got it, was promptly involved in two accidents as a passenger. I have, in total, no time behind the wheel. Yet I have an hour in a Cessna :P

Up here in ND you can get your permit at 14, but can't get your liscence liscense liscence liscense :embarrassed: THAT THING until 16.

Any tips for when I finally start driving?
 
Eyes on the road, not on a text message.

I've recently been staying near(er) the speed limit also. I've noticed that my car did almost get 400 miles on a tank of gas. By shaving just a bit off my driving speeds I'm now getting nearly 440 miles on a tank. I do a mix of interstate and country road driving, not much in town.
 
get a cheap car, and learn how to fix it! if something breaks (refer to murphy's law) mechanics will charge you an arm, a leg, and rental space in your nose
 
DONT PANIC!!! oh, and dont make eye contact with the person in the car next to you...makes things less weird at a long stoplight

My Android phone saves text about as often as my PC browser does, when hitting back and forward. o.O Just in case, I "copy all" often when typing long messages.
Does Android have a single default browser across all devices? Also, there are many on the market.

Your dream car is much more reasonable than mine...

I'd like a 1965 Ferrari Red GTO Evocazione with grey upholstery and the beautiful Ferrari shield on both side of it. Most amazing car (image-wise) ever built in my opinion.

But of course, I'm stuck with a four-cylinder safe car called the 2008 Hyundai Elantra in a metallic blue with scratches that make it look like it got keyed in a high school parking lot. Worse of all (did I mention this?) it has FOUR CYLINDERS.

ELI NEEDS MOAR POWAR!

But a car is a car. I'm just happy to drive.

(BTW: I'd choose a Honda Civic over a Corolla ANY day.)
 
i use the standard browser on my droid...it hates O-F though

my dream car is a black 1967 Ford Mustang

No way!! I love making terrified screaming faces while passing people on the road.

*Ahem* Advice? What Phantom said (it's illegal where I live for a reason. :P) Also, if you end up with a long commute, learn to enjoy driving, or else you will spend a lot of time doing something you don't like. :lol:
