PTK NP is acronym for Russian "New Generation Piloted Transport Ship" - partially reusable manned spacecraft currently under development by Russia for replacement Soyuz, analogue to US Orion spacecraft.
First launch was scheduled to take place in 2018.

Add-on includes:
Base spacecraft version with simple VC (only MFD's is functional);
Additional pressurized module;
New meshes for spacecraft launcher (Angara rocket).

Some scenarios require Angara Launch Vehicle add-on

Looks really good.

Looks great! I did a quick flight earlier this morning, just before I had to leave and it went smooth. Great work :cheers:

Problems with yours add-on

Now I downloaded and I established this addition. At expansion and undockings there is a mistake to solar panels. To look the attached

Try to close the simulation and reopen it. It should fix it. If it's fixed with this solution, it's not a bug in the add-on itself. Might be a bug with SC3.

Yes, unfortunately there is a bug, but I'm pretty sure it's due to not full compatibility between Spacecraft3 and Orbiter 2010, because this happened with other addons on that module too. I was expecting that after separation camera focused on the capsule, so theoretically what happens to the propulsion module is not so important... although I agree, while it in field of view, it looks ugly.
The only solution I know, except for the re-opening: rotate solar panels to the initial position and fold them by pressing G, before separation of the capsule.

The problem is your not using Parent and Child animations properly.

Finally, a vessel that isn't from a sci-fi franchise!

(not that there's anything inherently wrong with them, and I don't want to insult anybody; it's just that O-H seems to be flooded with those add-ons nowadays, and I prefer realistic/near-tech vessels)

Very great capsule! :thumbup: And about the solar panels' bug, as some people said, it's due to Spacecraft3, i'm currently develloping an add-on and I encountered this bug.

It's not a bug. It's the improper use of Parent and Child animations.

Well said, you took the words right out of my mouth :tiphat:

Sorry to hijack the thread, but I suppose I,m one of them to blame, but it was an exercise in seeing good models for a change.
I have something REAL in the pipeline, it will probably just be the model as I am not an expert at this sort of stuff, can,t say too much, but its 3.57 metres long and its Russian.

Excellent mod by the way.

Solving the problem with solar arrays

For proper animation after crew module separation, you need last version of Spacecraft3 module: "Spacecraft3 patch". All previous version will cause problem, as it were reported above.

I also had the old version, and only now noticed it (not without help from Donamy, thanks to him!)

Beautiful model, this PTK.

Otherwise : 3.57 metres and Russian = Sputnik 3 ?

HI Scorpius,yes I can confirm the newest spacecraft3 module works great,no more animation problem with the solar panels,thanks again for this wonderful addon.:cheers:

Scenario 1 crashes after ignition of the Launch Escape System (~200 sec in flight)
Here is the Orbiter.log data, if the may help:
