BTW it turned out to be a serious proposal dated all the way back to the Soviet era in the late 1980's and 1990's! Here's a detailed discussion on it.

Now that the D3D9 client supports normal maps and specular maps, that beautiful rocket looks too shiny :



Someday I'll make a try at making such maps, I think that the result could be awesome...

Recent PAXSA mission

Here is a picture of PAXSA's newest XR2 "Enterprise" just after reentry and landing to ASVI. PAXSA is also cooperating with the Italian Space Agency to build a new station called "Solaris".
