Orbiter Screenshot Thread

The http://www.buran.ru/ is a pretty good reference also (the Russian text side anyway). But documentation on the MAKS is scarce. Those folding wings look cool though.

I would recommend Russian Space Web. There's a section about Buran there (not sure about MAKS, though). Anyway here are the re-entry and landing pictures of STS-153:

Sometimes, on long trips, ya just need more than sci-fi:

Nice. I need to swap out mine for the book I'm reading too.

Shameless copycat.

Has anyone, like the recent arrow screenshots just posted, decorated other cockpits with personal effects.. Like with pictures or knick-knacks?

I'm afraid to mess things up, so I just swap effects out. The picture of the beach on the far left on mine is an autographed picture of Celia Cruz I got, and I did a mediocre edit by placing a few albums I like on the left panel.

Well, several pages ago I had the Hatsune Miku box art (singing synthesizer for those who don't know).

Actually, it was that pic that gave me the idea to change the book (and photo) in my Arrow cockpit.:tiphat:

Hey Napalm42: Is that Orulex out the window in your pic? It looks cool.

Negative, part of the terrain mesh of rodion_herrera's Brighton Beach 2011, according to him it's part of the regolith dug up to make space for the base. Surprisingly I don't use Orulex (probably won't until I find satisfactory collision detection for it.)

This is the potental Add-on screene for the Ups And system after it is updated in the near future.

I really like the texture on that moon.

Yes the gas giant was discovered back in [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Upsilon_Andromedae_e"]2010[/ame] when i began updating this. Seres of bad events though distracted me from working. They are planet e and e I respectivly. @ Izack

AWESOME  - can you send me a scn.-file, please?

greetings:tiphat:, HAL9001
Hey Hall, here's the scenery file you also need to change the ini. file in Conf/Multistage/Energia-M to define Buran as Payload.
Let me know if you have any issue's.

Cheers,

Yoda

Assembly of my new space station began: Zarya was launched on an ETS a couple of weeks ago, with Buran now bringing a PMA and the core truss support module.

The next flight will be flown with Endeavour, carrying the first truss segment and another PMA, to enable dockings and thus manning the station.

Flights are being conducted from Wideawake using David's fleet of orbiters, plus Loru's launcher (props for incorporating the payload manager!) and Kulch's Energia (which would be perfect if it allowed completely manual control, but I'm nitpicking here) for the Buran.

I plan on it being at least as large as the ISS, though it will take time.
Thanks to Artlav's converter the station is fully UMMU compliant. :)
