You have to release that to orbit hangar! I want them! :rofl:

Actually it wasn't designed for the shuttle and it doesn't look that good from the side. If I have some time to spare I'll make global flames like that that will work well with default spacecrafts.
 
That would look better, if the flame exhaust only went down part way, and another whitish gray exhaust, the rest of the way. IMHO

Yeah, I did some tiny tweaks to the SSU exhaust flames in the Ares I-X add-on to achieve exactly this effect. Could have used a few more streams for finer details there, like having darker and more orange flames for the final part of the emissive exhaust stream. :lol:
