Orbiter Screenshot Thread

I'd like to launch them all to say, Jupiter, at the same time, but I have a feeling with their different Isp's the fleet is going to rapidly break up.

Explorer looks cool, will have to try it out.

Would be interesting to see if you could time their arrivals so they all converged on Jupiter at or near the same exact MJD. That would be pretty cool, maybe. Maybe not, unless you aligned and synced their orbits immediately after arrival...would be tedious at best. On second thought, maybe get them all there in due time and then rendezvous later.

I've still got an Arrow in orbit over Europa. One of these days more spacecraft will join those poor chaps out there all by themselves. :)

Yes in the 23rd century the USS Enterprise will be on its way around the solar system on a test flight and wonder why there is a ship orbiting Europa.

Edit: Alot of those deep space ships are really old add-ons.

A cool (or should I say hot in this case) picture with the 3d-sun-Add-On.

"There's Always a Bigger Fish"

Just to give a little perspective as to exactly how big the Explorer class really is. Yes, that is an Arrow freighter in the hangar bay.

Indeed, there is a bigger fish. :P

(TBH, the perspective makes it look bigger, but it's still much more voluminous)

Arriving for the party at Brighton Beach!!

Tex - she almost looks like an F-14 from that angle.

Hmmm. Maybe when I get the Explorer DLL version released, I'll have a go at a Jolly Rogers skin for the XR2..... :hmm:

A Jolly Rogers skin would look pretty sweet.
When I was at China Lake I saw a nice color scheme... Gloss black with red pinstripes, there was a white playboy "bunny" emblem on the vert. stabilizer. Really great looking paint job.
If I can find a picture, I'll put it up here...

Would that have been this one?

**Edit** That's apparently an RC mock-up. This the one you saw?

Two of my home made Orbiter-wallpapers (I "painted" the parameters out of the pictures :D ). First one is on Mare Infinitus (55 Cancri), and the second one is a look at the gas giant Tokarr (Eru System).

@Tex: your XR-2 photo looks awesome! Did you edited it? Because I want that high-res and that galactic CSphere also.
