No new (release) updates in the last years. However, Orbiter development is now open-source at Github: https://github.com/orbitersim/orbiter . As you can see there, Martin has just committed something 3 days ago.

Yes, there have been updates, but only in the forum and on GitHub. If you want to try the latest development build, you can get it under the tags in the release section in GitHub. Have a read through the GitHub readme description on how to install and use the latest development build. It has quite a lot of new exciting features
