Hello everyone,
Just wanted to say "hi", and introduce myself. My name is Ryan (callsign Spaz), a total Orbinaut FNG. I've just gotten back into Orbiter after an short, unsuccessful attempt last year to understand the immense topic of space flight and orbital mechanics. I'm an avid combat flight sim addict, playing games like Falcon 4:Allied Force and FreeFalcon 5, moving to Orbiter after my desire to get higher and higher was hampered by the modeled world in those games.
I was happy to find a free space simulator, and even more tickled when I discovered the amount of addons created by the community and distributed without charge to the masses. Exceptionally fantabulous is the Orbiter Multiplayer Server. So thanks to all those who have worked hard in the creation and expansion of this sim, and although I'm not a developer, if there is a way I can help or give back to the community, just let me know, and I'd be happy to help.

Cheers,
Spaz

Hi Ryan, welcome to the Forum. If you're having problems with Orbiter, look for some tutorials, it easy to learn. Giving back to the community, report any bugs you find. Good luck with your flights!

Hi Ryan, welcome to the community! :welcome:

Welcome there ! :welcome:

Falcon 4 Allied Force is excellent, but it litterally eats your time !

PS : I didn't even knew FreeFalcon existed !! I'm going to try this, looks very good !

Hi Everyone. My name is Gabriel, from Brazil. I discovered Orbiter in the beginning of the last year and today i'm a great fan of this simulator. I'm trying in the last months develop my abilities with the Space Shuttle, but its too difficult to dock and to reentry at correct inclination angle. I mastered the most aspects of flying with delta-glider (stock and the IV), but the difference between delta-gliders and the Space Shuttle is enormous. Would be nice to master the dinamics of the Space Shuttle before risk myself in interplanetary missions. To dock Atlantis in MIR, taking off from Canaveral is really a challenge. I wonder how many years are needed to dominate the main aspects of the simulator, if possible. Greetings to all

:welcome: to the forum ggrof!!

:welcome: ggrof! Don't worry, Orbiter isn't that hard to master, and remember that you have a forum to ask if you have any uncertainties  We are more than happy to assist you! ;)

And don't think that you have to learn how to fly the Shuttle before trying interplanetary flights, just do what seems fun to you at the moment and you'll learn orbital mechanics slowly but surely

Hi all, I'm new as well. Really liking the software lots to learn.
