NASSP keyboard commands

Here a list of all the keyboard commands and controls for NASSP 8.0. There was a post like this on the old forum and there recently have been some additions (keyboard commands for the DEDA in the LM). So until there is a proper manual for NASSP 8.0, here a forum post with all the commands.

Virtual Cockpit:

Arrow keys: Scroll left/right/up/down
Insert/Delete: Scroll forward/backward
Shift: Scroll slowly
Alt + O: ORDEAL slew up
Alt + L: ORDEAL slew down

General Controls:

Divide (Numpad): switch between rotational and translational controls

Rotational Controls:
2 (Numpad): Pitch up
8 (Numpad): Pitch down
1 (Numpad): Yaw left
3 (Numpad): Yaw right
4 (Numpad): Roll left
6 (Numpad): Roll right

By default these commands use the soft stop of the RHC or ACA. To get full deflection of the attitude controller and command direct/hardover RCS firing in the CSM/LM respectively, hold the left or right Alt key while commanding rotation. To move the ACA out of detent in the LM without commanding RCS thrust, hold Ctrl and Alt while commanding rotation.

Translational Controls:
6 (Numpad): +X (forwards)
9 (Numpad): -X (backwards)
2 (Numpad): -Z (Up)
8 (Numpad): +Z (Down)
1 (Numpad): -Y (Left)
3 (Numpad): +Y (Right)

W: Optics up
S: Optics down
A: Optics left
D: Optics right
Q: Optics mark
E: Optics reject
V: Change Sextant View Mode to DualView

Shift+Decimal (Numpad): DSKY Clear
Shift+Page Up: DSKY Reset
Shift+Home: DSKY Key Release
Shift+Enter (Numpad): DSKY Enter
Shift+Divide (Numpad): DSKY Verb
Shift+Multiply (Numpad): DSKY Noun
Shift+Add (Numpad): DSKY Plus
Shift+Substract (Numpad): DSKY Minus
Shift+End: DSKY Proceed
Shift+ 0-9 (Numpad): DSKY 0-9

Shift+W: Minimum impulse controller, pitch down
Shift+S: Minimum impulse controller, pitch up
Shift+A: Minimum impulse controller, yaw left
Shift+D: Minimum impulse controller, yaw right
Shift+Q: Minimum impulse controller, roll left
Shift+E: Minimum impulse controller, roll right

Minus: Rotate THC counterclockwise
Equals: Rotate THC clockwise
Multiply (Numpad): DV Thrust switches A and B to off (manual SPS cutoff)

Alt + R: Recover the crew after splashdown

LM:

Translational Controls:
6 (Numpad): +Z (forwards)
9 (Numpad): -Z (backwards)
2 (Numpad): +X (Up)
8 (Numpad): -X (Down)

The DSKY and MCC controls are the same as in the CSM.

Y: Mark Y
E: Reject
Minus: Increase Descent Rate
Equals: Decrease Descent Rate
K: Toggle PGNS mode control AUTO/ATT HOLD
M: Toggle throttle control AUTO/MAN
SHIFT+A: Abort Stage PUSH

Zero (Numpad): Throttle up
Decimal (Numpad): Throttle down
Minus (Numpad): Toggle Engine Stop Button
Plus (Numpad): Depress Engine Start Button

For some reason I can’t get the Q and Y keys to work for marking in the LM. All the other keys seem to work. Am I doing something wrong?

P52 is quite picky about those buttons, they have to be used alternating, i.e. first X, then Y, then X again and so on. But at least it's fair and tells you which button it wants: V52 is X, V53 is Y and V54 is X or Y (it doesn't matter if you start with X or Y, as long as an X mark is followed by a Y mark and vice versa).

OK I will try it again. I am a little concern I don't even hear a click. The marking buttons on the LM optics control panel do not seem to respond to mouse clicks either.

I presume you're having trouble moving the optics?

Hmm, I think it's the Roll, Pitch, Yaw. I'm having trouble docking with the LM and landing. For some reason I don't have a number pad and joystick.

I could "sorta" control the CSM and LM. Yeah, other vehicles in Orbiter do work.

You can board the LRV with "B"
Focus must be on the astronaut and standing next to the LRV.
