Some progress:

Animated the antennas so they can be raised and rotated manually once on the surface.

Could you also make the HGA automatically track Earth as default behaviour after deployment?
 
Earth tracking HGA is working nicely! Will make it the default behaviour now.
 
OK so now the dust seems to be settling ... will try and focus on making the addon playable.

Couple of updates:

First image of the HGA pointing at the Earth. You'll have to take my word for it at the moment but I have checked in planetarium mode and it looks like it is doing it correctly.

Second image show an ummu outside the cargo lander in LEO. I have added ummu capability to the vessel so the lander can be used as a stand alone crewed Mars lander and ascent vehicle.

Have updated the landing guidance and autopilot for the cargo lander. It's using the same version as the habitat lander and so can, in principle, be used anywhere in the Solar System.
 
I just added the meshes vdna3 and vdna32 to the drm v1.4 base cfg file.

I think I forgot to include it in v1.5...I'll post the file here tomorrow sometime with instructions etc how to install it..
 
Hi,

If you actually want to land at Vallis Dao then that needs a different approach trajectory.

I have actually put the high res textured Vallis Dao meshes at Isidis Highlands which is the v1.4 and v1.5 landing site. You could try deleting the original text in Isidis-HighlandsBase.cfg file and then copy and pasting the below text into that file. The .cfg file can be opened with a text editor like notepad.

MarkP, how do specify other payloads for you launcher beacause I would like to use it for heavy lifting other stuff? I looked for lines in the scenario but I couldn't get differant payloads.
 
You could try placing your payload directly under the rocket then press 0 on the main keyboard to attach it. There is no facility to rotate the payload once attached at the moment...

Thanks, it worked well. Also, I have problems with the auto-pilot. I initiated the program at the same longnatude (really bad spelling) as the base, with my next orbit passing within 2 km of the target, but when it seemed as if it should deorbit the auto pilot did nothing.
 
looks like I disabled the autopilot in the code for the habitat lander at least. Will fixed that and make it available here or on orbit hanger.

Do you know anything about a CTD on "at the altitude of 49 km"?
