Hi...does anyone know what the rule of thumb is to make a daylight landing at Wideawake International?...I always seem to land at night...I would prefer to land during daylight hours, but cannot think how to make sure I approach the runway in daylight...any ideas?

Um, you can try to find what's called Extended Map MFD which gives the daylight indicators on the map screen, and also gives true orbit predictions rather than the solid connected line that the current Map MFD uses.

Hi..thanks for your reply...I appreciate your comment....would it actually tell me when it is daylight over Wideawake then?...not sure how I would use it...

Thanks...appreciate your help, and thanks for the screenshot...makes sense now....

Also - make a note of the sunrise/sunset times via the clock in the top right. When you are ready to deorbit and land make sure you still have about an hours daylight left by comparing the current time with the known sunset time at wideawake.

You could use clock MFD:
