Love the new 2010 P1! All praises to Martin S. for his historical contribution to the world.http://orbiter-forum.com/images/smilies/good.gif
Please add fly by view and Warpdrive.
I use the Super Millennium Falcon just because I like it's power. Wish I could edit it in .cfg file. Not interested in C++ at this time.
Developers, please proof read or allow someone to edit your instructions.
If you are too busy then skip the opinions and commentary and just type
a list of commands. http://www.orbiter-forum.com/images/smilies/shrug.GIF

Here is a warp drive: [ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=2297"]WarpDrive MFD Mk2[/ame]
Here is the fly by view: [ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=3657"]Orbiter Fly-By Camera[/ame]

The genius of Orbiter is that it's open to huge variations by means of add-ons.

On proofreading: Well, we are not always text writers. :(

Indeed, I was brought up reading a mysterious language called "Olegish" on internet forums as IL-2 Sturmovik slowly gained fame. It's an unforgettable experience.

Proofreading is overrated :D All documentation best read in the company of fine Romulan ale :D

loved that game, i always had trouble with controls though, they were sensetive for dogfighting, so a smooth landing was hard (not to mention the old aircraft having the tendancy to nosedive on landing... or was that just me?)

as for your initial question, if you've found an addon with poor documentation, you could probably find the author on here, explain your problem (nicely ;)) and they'll help you out

other than that, maybe thats a development Achilles heel this community has :hmm:

Thank you Grover, Artlaf. I love Il Sturmovick Pacific Fighters. F4U is my favorite plane to fly. Yes the controls are sensitive and that's what gives me an idea of how much skill it took to fly and shoot at the same time. In a jet you are just riding and steering, in a prop driven plane you ARE actually driving that vehicle.

While there are plenty of addons that have no or little documentation... there are also plenty of orbinauts who fail to read the documentation that is lovingly provided... so it goes both ways. ;)

Docs are the bottleneck in most software projects that take off. Those that don't take off, are a bit heavy in the wishlist department.

use F4 band camera and another small object you place from wich you than can look. and for Warp-drive you can use that MFD.
