Hey guys, ive been wondering how or even if you can control the JEMRMS, it'll help alot in the STS-127 mission. Also this has nothing to do with the JEMRMS, but when i use Auto FCS, i try to pick a landing site and i click the roll down thing and it comes with ''DIR/BASE and DIR/SSU CONT''. Where ive seen that it should be a list of the bases for shuttle. Someone please help me with this becuase theres no read me or documents explaining FCS.
Thanks.
Ryan.

The the JEMRMS, you first select it using F3. Once selected use the Spacecraft3 Robotic Arm controls. [SHIFT]+[SPACE] opens the debug line at the bottom of the screen then [SHIFT]+[NUM 4] or [SHIFT]+[NUM 6] to choose the joint you want to control. To move the joint [SHIFT]+[NUM 8] and [SHIFT]+[NUM 2] are used. I believe that [SHIFT]+[NUM 0] is the gapple but you may have to use the attachment keys. [A] to bring up the debug code and [SHIFT]+[NUM 0] to attach and detach.

For the AFCS question, the search function is your friend.;)

But to get the runways to show in your dialog box. AFCS looks at the Earth config. It doesn't mater what Sol you are using, it always looks at the normal Earth config. Open Orbiter directory/Config/Earth and look at the Surface Bases section. Add this line in between BEGIN_SURFBASE and END_SURFBASE:

KSC: -80.675 +28.5208

This will add KSC to the AFCS window. To add other bases its just the name and the location (taken from the specific base config). So Edwards would be.

EDW: -117.92 +34.892

And so on.

Hey guys, thanks Zerofay the RMS is moving but when i go to grapple an object i press Shift+num0 and the Logistics module goes, and when i press it again i have a CTD.
Also with the FCS i did what you told me to and it goes fine throughout EI but im landing FCS lands me right next to the runway not on the runway, i dont if it might be a texture problem or an FCS problem

The "stock" Cape Canaveral has the runways and pads positioned incorrectly. The Hi-Res Cape Canaverals have them located correctly. Either you are using the "stock" Canaveral and FCS is using the real (Hi rez) locations, or the other way around. Search the forum, I've seen references to this issue before, so the answer is out there.

You can't be focused on the JEMRMS, if the logistics module detaches, you may have the JEM selected.

Im using the med-res KSC, and its funny in a way cos im landing right next to it and i have this 4 letter word in my head, and im sure im using the JEMRMS selection thing.

To advoid the landing issue just take over at TAEM and land manually. Thats how they do it in real life;).

That was solved somewhere recently, shouldn't be hard to find.
