Johan8211, please remove that chest in the hallway, that's a public space, just realized that it's not the chest I put before o.O

I asked when you were online, but I guess one of us must have been timing out. It's removed now :-)

Hey Hielor,

My spawn point is in the middle of the ocean on the old world. As much as I love two full Minecraft-days of swimming every time that I die, it's starting to get old. Could you move my spawn somewhere else.

Thanks.

-n72.75.

Have you tried sleeping in a bed somewhere else to fix it?

Say, who owns the underwater biome? jedimaster? It's a bit of a mess at the moment, looks like some endermen got in there and stole some of the glass... water pouring in everywhere, and I suspect the water broke a piece of the subway too.

Oh, that's right, beds ... It's been a while since I've played Minecraft ...

I think that might have been blane's. If so, it must have been a planned stop on
the green line, but there were a few creepers...

but I'm not sure if it actually was his.

The actual biome belonged to someone else, but Blane had plans to turn it into a stop at one point. Then was ultimately reversed and now the subway goes by it normally.

Crap, thanks for notifying me, that's my biome. i haven't been down there, or even on lately.

I've been more focused on the museum out in the desert, and haven't even been in town alot whenever i'm on.

I'll fix it the next time i get on. Thanks.

Speaking of that, you might want to invest in some decent lighting. I was out there looking at the awesome Shuttle and hangar (that thing is LARGE) but it was like a spider apocalypse. Endlessly entertaining I'm sure, but a little tiresome when one wants simply to visit.

I will the next time I get on. I have next to no resources because I had to buy another username. Ill gather what I can and make sure its as mob free as possible.

If anybody can contribute, it'd be greatly appreciated :)

I might be able to contribute some glowstone but I'm not sure. Also, I have to add, working security during Mardi Gras SUCKS!

Cobblestone factory anyone?

Well, since everyone who has ever been online with me knows about my connection problems, I've spent these two days not online by working on a cobblestone factory which is really efficient. It's not the fastest, it generates about 77 cobblestones per minute, while the record that I can find on the net is about 81 cobblestones per minute, but whilst it is very fast, it has the disadvantage that you can easily damage the machinery. So I actually thought of building from scratch a cobblestone factory with similar speed but not as brittle, so I present to you The Beast.

now this is the part that I'm really proud of, the red wools you see over here is the detector to check if the cobblestone has reached the edge, and if it does, it will push the red wools, cutting the current from that one torch, and then activating two circuits, one which will push all the resulting cobblestones forward, and the other is the reloader, to cut the current to the pistons, and then reloading the detector into the detecting position. The detector has to be refreshed after each session ends (after the machine stopped because it can't push anymore, which is about after 6 stacks), but this is rather beneficial because all the cobbles then formed into one huge slab which can be easily mined.

the fourth picture is the final result after it is being run for 5 minutes, exactly 6 stacks of cobblestone produced and lined up, ready for harvest, the cobble slab is 8x12x4 and the whole machinery is 23x18x12, so I'm asking everyone here whether this will be worthy enough to put on the server, might be useless though

the ingredients would take about a stack of pistons, one sticky pistons and perhaps a stack of redstone and a half-stack of repeaters, a bucket of lava would be enough, and 4 buckets of water.

I have seen a video that produces cobblestone in a very simple way. it produces 1 per second maybe, but its too easy and you can do more sistems attached and its very compact you want the video?

Well, do we really need a cobble factory? It's very cool, but, well, the stuff is everywhere...

I see what you mean but its more easy than mining, If he want to do it its for some reason.

Not really sure how it's easier than mining, given that you can easily find significantly larger chunks of stone just by looking underground anywhere...

Simply because you dont have to walk the cobble comes to you :P
And I dont know if cobble is more rapidly to mine than rock

Starting a branch mine at level 11 also has the added benefit of getting you a bunch of other minerals. Diamonds, Redstone, Iron, Gold and Lapis.

well, if you have a connection like mine, every time it's "read timed out" I'm kicked out from the caves and have to start from the surface again

eccentrus, go for it. If this will help you out then why not?

but as hielor said, its slightly quicker to mine stone and the stuff is the most abundant block (except for air) in minecraft so theres no shortage of it and most people would prefer to mine it.

If some how you could modify that machine to include a tnt block every 4 blocks or so then all you need is to set it off and you have instant cobble drops. That would be more efficient.
