Why did you ban me from the server without the three strikes and your out rule?

Where does it say there is a three strikes and you're out rule? All Heilor says in his initial post is the 'If you make things difficult for others, [he] will ban you.' That is what you were doing, and thus you were banned.

There's a "three strikes and you're out rule?" This is minecraft, not baseball, I've never claimed the existence of such a rule. I'm not particularly inclined to allow people two free passes to do whatever they want--that would set a bad precedent, I think.

More specifically, I was shown video/picture evidence of two separate instances of you bothering people on the server, including breaking blocks that others placed. I have little doubt that there was a third, given the descriptions I received from two people who have shown themselves to be productive members of the server community.

There are plenty of public servers available; I'm sure some of them allow (or even encourage) griefing of that nature. I think that you would have more fun in a community like that.

Hey Hielor, can you give my friend "InTheAfterlife" build permissions? He lurks O-F from time to time. I gave him a tour this morning.

Also, can you give ownership of the commune chests to me or woo? We have some plans for it, but can't do anything since we don't own them.

Flip the switch towards the right. There's also another switch at the bottom. The two inputs are XORd for the true setting of the railway intersection switch which is represented by the redstone on the left. You can flip any switch to go to either my other station or to TSPenguin's station. The only thing not implemented is calling a cart from TSP's place.

This will be the logic for the switches/intersection:
Upper Station|Lower Station|TSP Station|Resulting Intersection
0 0 0 0
0 0 1 1
0 1 0 1
0 1 1 0
1 0 0 1
1 0 1 0
1 1 0 0
1 1 1 1

0 connects Lower to TSP and Upper to Lower
1 connects Lower to Upper and Upper to TSP

For the regular members, the railway to my village (now named Wooloomba) is basically done.

There are a few issues with the powered rails and mobs. I am in the process on mob proofing the bad areas, this is about 1/3 done. I do need more cobble so donations can be made via chests beside the railway (Near mob filled areas if you see them) or chests in the village or the commune. It is hoped that the whole line will be covered but that will need a lot more cobble (About 4 double chests full) and I will need help putting it up.

Also need to set up repair areas with supplies of rails, cobble and torches.

I will leave it to the members who reside in the commune to connect it to the existing rail system and build a station. The current end has no station and is unprotected. This is located at x:149,y:65,z:455.

Finally thanks to every one that helped build it and provided materials. These include Rim (unsure of full login name), Pablo49, Woo482, Hielor and TSP. Sorry if I missed your name if you are not mentioned.

You are all welcome to visit Wooloomba. I am currently Terra-forming it. I have plenty of rooms for long or short term stays. The trip from the commune takes about 1/2 day so plan accordingly. I have most consumables on site and have direct access to an abandoned mine.

Visitors are welcome to farm the crops and trees but please replace what you take and put any undesired stuff in the community chests near the well.
 
In a little over a week, we've gone from nothing to several settlements with a fully (almost) functioning rail network connecting them!

All chests are now public by default. To make it private you have to /cremove on it first.

tl8, Woo built a cobble generator up in the commune, so that shouldn't be a problem.

I'm more into Creative than Survival, so I might not play all the time, but I'll be sure to join when I feel like playing Survival.
 
Since apparently some like to take from commune chests without putting back. (Chests are at least 50% gone from what I saw 12 hours ago) We've made the commune members only. So just give Me or Woo a poke on the server and ask to be added.

Not questioning this decision, I think it's the right way to go, but I believe (and maybe I misunderstand), the point of the community chest is that it's there for free use so long as you put it, or something, back.

There was a TON of cobble there the last time I checked (if that's the chest you're referring to). Taking 50% of it would take a bit more than 12 hrs to replenish, unless of course you were playing nonstop. If the chest needs more cobble, I have some in my mining chest that I can bring to the commune next time I'm on. Would have brought it sooner, actually, but the chest was full. I even asked on the in-game chat how much cobble was in the chest before I headed back to the commune.

I actually mulled the idea of taking a good deal of that cobble down to the furnaces to make stone or stone blocks for the building materials chest, but I didn't have enough playing time to sit and wait for it to smelt, and I didn't want to leave items in the furnace until the next time I log on.
