I've developed the Galileo probe for Shuttle fleet, with launch with IUS using Jacques Momo's IUS, the Galileo booms extend and spin section rotates also ejects the Huygens Probe (working on making it function) I'll be releasing it in the next couple of weeks.
Any info about Galileo would be helpful.
If Jacques Mono can get in contact I'd like to send him the preview
Thanks

Well, here's an already done version of the Galileo atmospheric descent probe: [ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=6461"]Galileo atmosphere probe[/ame]

And here's an extensive document on the Galileo mission from back when it was scheduled to use a direct trajectory from Earth to Jupiter using a Centaur G Prime: http://hdl.handle.net/2060/19860001670

hutchison66, could you also add the Centaur G Prime, so you can do the direct Jupiter trajectory it was originally supposed to do? (Because I really do like the idea of this mod, but I use IMFD and IMFD can't do planet-to-same-planet transfers, and Galileo IRL did an Earth-to-Earth transfer after it's Venus flyby)

But, I guess you could do what BrianJ did in his excellent Rosetta mod, where there are the asteroids Rosetta flybyed IRL, so you can target them in IMFD and then target the planet you left. (Like, flyby Earth, target asteroid Steins, flyby asteroid Steins, target Earth, flyby Earth). And since Galileo flybyed asteroid Gaspra after its first Earth flyby, and then flybyed Earth again, this could be done so someone can use IMFD to fly this.

Hi hutchison66

I'm happy to know that my IUS interresse developers...

So, you can use it... but of course I'll be very happy to test you futur add-on...

I send you my adresse in PM.

Here's two photos of Galileo in the KSC Vertical Processing Facility (VPF) being prepared to be mated to the Centaur G Prime (SC-2) for the STS-61G mission. Note the mylar foil blanket covered adapter as well as the lack of the large sun shade below the HGA. The sun shade was added once a VEEGA trajectory had been decided on to shield the instruments from the increased solar heating near Venus.

I was just wondering how this was coming along? Any screenshots to show?

would good to include the two versions of the spacecraft: the original one, mated with the centaur for the direct Jovian injection and the functional HGA, and the one actually launched, with the modifications for the VEEGA and the crippled antenna.
