Flight Readiness Firing

Would it make sense to support flight readiness firings? Basically, we just need to use a manipulated version of the RSLS, which does not trigger HDP firing, T0 umbilical retraction and SRB ignition.

I think, from a development point of view, we could use this for testing the final prelaunch sequence, but as we only simulate the launches, it does also not hurt us if we have normal lift-off (except that we less chances to monitor the SSMEs without flight activity)

Of course, a FRF is a pretty good primary boasting mode.

Speaking of FRFs, I fired a SSME on the pad this morning!!! There was no smoke or noise but it sure felt good to see the PC going up and down as advertised! (and it helped me find a bug on SSME.cpp, will upload later today...)

Yes, I think it would make sense to support FRFs. It's just a stripped version the the GLS/RSLS... I don't think it's hard to delete code...:lol:

For smoke, the Sound suppression system has to be armed and active. A LPS task.

That's the procedure name for Launch Countdown. TCDT is S0017, prelaunch propellant loading is S0024. I believe FRFs are S0035.
