Does anyone know how to construct constellation boundarys?

Does anyone know how to construct constellation boundary lines? I see the boundary lines drawn in many programs and drawings on the web but i never see the actual dimensions shown. Ideally I would like to construct the lines from scratch not just guess by looking at pics or trace something someone else has done. Thanks
