Gaming Digital Combat Simulator Thread

I suffer from the same issue, which is why I haven't pulled the trigger on any of the newer modules. The A10-C was the last one I bought.

I decided to try to get back into it a couple months ago, starting with some basic FC3 missions in the A10A. Yeah, that sucked royally as the targeting and weapon-switching seemed to only sporadically respond to control inputs, whether keyboard or joy inputs. I did finally successfully finish a mission, but when I landed, after I slowed to taxi, the nose of the A10A popped up in the air and it just sat there on its tail at the edge of the runway. I shut down and requested a repair. The aircraft lifted off the ground a few feet to perform the repairs....and exploded. Good times.

Then 2 weeks ago the most recent Win10 update bricked my machine and I had to reinstall. I've got everything back reinstalled except DCS, and I'm hesitant simply because I just don't have the time :( And I hate that because I was really starting to enjoy it back when I started playing.

Another module has been release in early accsess, it's the chineese / pakistani JF-17. It seems to be the first module which has a "usable" ground radar (see attached video @ ~ 9:00). However, I will still wait they finish the F/A-18 before buying another early accsess module...

Does someone tested it out? Does the AG Radar leads to a FPS drop?

DCS on Steam has just downloaded a 1.7GB update.

DCS World update.

...most inappropriate use of "Zombie" I think.

Just bought the Viper and first impressions are ok but IMHO the Hornet is way better, at least as far as the handling caracteristics are concerned

There is apparently something about how the Viper's force-sensing stick is modeled which makes it appear "sluggish", or so I have read. I'll try it later today and see.

That’s exactly the feeling I have. The good news is Air to Air refueling compared to the F-18 is a walk in the park ?

Well, this was unexpected (some pictures expected to show up in todays week-end newsletter):

Nice to see some current German gear there.

Though the Korea era is still pretty underrepresented (In case of targets NPC aircraft)

This evening me and Wolf will host a small mission to try a bit of MP flying - obviously everyone is welcome to join! :)

Additionally, today and tomorrow the Harrier is free to try, for those who'd like to try something slightly unusual.

ED also announced the Eurofighter for for DCS (developed by a 3rd party)
The fleet is expanding rapidly
