Is there a thread/forum somewhere that answers this already? I really want to do Apollo right (using all the necessary add-ons), but am unsure if I should go the AMSO or NASSP route. Apparently, there was some drama concerning the person behind AMSO? No explanation required, just a pointer to the right place to read/learn for myself what the difference is between the two. Thanks!

AMSO is based mostly on visuals and keeps simplicity in controlling the CSM & LEM. The models are excellent, landing locations have breathtaking terrain, EVA & rover control are really cool.

NASSP is the REAL DEAL. Most of the CSM systems, from the environment controls, to the electrical systems, to the AMAZING AGC, are detailed very specifically. You can even go to the NASA website, find real checklists that were used, and use them in NASSP. Finishing a mission in real-time is tedious, but rewarding in the end. Unfortunately the visuals and the LEM are unfinished, but the project is ongoing.

Both have their pros and cons, but these features have me hooked to have both installed in my copy of Orbiter.

Jedimaster1214 is right. AMSO is a visually stunning addon that is very easy to master. It's perfect for someone Jedimaster1214 is right. new to the program to use and to actually accomplish complete lunar missions with. I use AMSO all the time and it is one of my favorite addons. NASSP looks great too but it's a work in progress and far more complex.
