Software Bluescreen crash

Orbiter 2010 P1 blue screen crash to reboot with varied situations. One is aerobraking in the Venusian atmosphere. After aerobraking in Venusian atmosphere when I try to quit game Orbiter crashes to bluescreen and reboot? What is going on?

It would help if you listed the bluescreen error. There are 16 of them ranging from hardware faults to driver faults. Without the error code it's hard to know where to start.

I have never seen Orbiter cause a bluescreen. I have seen orbiter hit resources of the machine so hard that the machine has fallen over, normally due to over heating or memory problems.

Top left hand corner. The text will read something like KERNEL_PAGE_FAULT or INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE There will also be four sets of numbers next to it. Don't worry too much about those for now but the text in the top left is key.

Bluescreen lasts oh....about 1/10 of a second, then reboots automatically. Maybe we are talking about two different things here. It is the dark bluescreen with hexadecimal addresses and then *poof* reboot time.

And on top of that I have been using the old transX and I get an "obsolete API function" indication in the log. I was wondering if that could cause the problem so I downloaded the latest transX from the hangar and that module won't even load. I am seriously considering just going back to 2006 P1 til all the bugs are ironed out.

Computer -> properties -> Advanced -> Startup and Recovery -> Settings -> Untick 'Automtically restart' under system failure section.

Open up the system event log and find the BUGCHECK event log.

That at least is perfectly normal (and was in the 2006 edition as well, IIRC.) That isn't an error, only a warning. Stock TransX works perfectly well with Orbiter 2010.
