Base Artemis 4 landing sites

Jerred Isaacman sort of let the cat out of the bag when he referred to the connecting ridge as the landing site for Artemis 4, I am wondering if any one here has tried to find it in Orbiter and knowing that the closer to the South Pole the surface mesh seems to be a mess.

we might need to work on that for orbiter and the new Moon Base

I might have found a spot that would work it is really hilly but seems to have spots where there is enough sunlight for us to use and close to Shackleton, maybe its not to distorted

Maybe here still looking for a flatter spot but this seems to be a ridge near Shackleton

I don't have a Lunar base set up yet. I did move the site a little but started to get the distorted view

I wonder why the ships are not tilted? I guess if one wanted to for visual appearance, they could set each gear to appear on the surface?

this LZ I found is pretty hummocky and you land on a slope. It would work and somewhat close to the South pole. I did drive the SEV south and the terrain starts to deform

Something I also discovered. And I may need to redo my landers. At that location the eva position is wrong. It should drop them outside the ladder. But instead it dropped in in the center. I think it because of the lat and Long?

yes I have noticed that when you create the EVA guys they are above the ground and when you move them they are back on the ground as they should be

Made a set of 'naked' bases near the Lunar South pole, at the positions of the NASA Lunar Site Selection.

• Despite the sunlight grazing the mountain tops, it is pitch dark down there.
• PursuitMFD does not work well at high lattitudes.

This looks good. BUT now questions. Not sure why my mk2 lander is not conforming with the slope. One bad thing is I apply hover to land it, it moves all over and goes upside down

Here is another orbiter problem. You can have only 8 light sources. For me if you have the flex and 4 guys and mk2 that is more lights than you can have so no light stands. They can be beacons but no light.

Only 2 eva guys will be out at a time . the EVA guys and walking up and down and Flex drives on the slopes we should be ok
